It's been a few weeks off on our tailgate tour and I guess that's what happens when you buy a bus on the cheap and it breaks down on the way to your net destination. Thankfully we've got the issues fixed and we are all set and ready to go on ahead on our tour of the best games to party at and watch on a week by week basis.
So far we've seen:
Northern Illinois at Iowa
Notre Dame at Michigan
Wisconsin at Arizona State
Missouri at Indiana
Wisconsin at Ohio State
Ohio State at Northwestern
Week 7 of the college football season is up next and here are the games we considered visiting:
- Northwestern at Wisconsin
- Michigan at Penn State
- Indiana at Michigan State
Where the Bus Stops in Week 7: Michigan at Penn State
This was a tough one. Passing up a good matchup in Madison before the weather really turns nasty is hard to do to say the least, however this soon to be division matchup between the Maize 'N Blue and Nittany Lions was also difficult to pass up and frankly it could hold a key to one teams hopes to win a division and the other teams' hopes of a winning record. Michigan will need this cross-divisional game to keep them on track in what is likely going to be a tough division race and Penn State, if they want a prayer in hell of a winning record in 2013 are going to need a win against a team they'll be underdogs against. Well, they are at least home in this one and that could be a massive advantage to pulling the upset.
Not only that, but being able to experience 100,000 plus fans in Beaver Stadium sure sounds good to me. Add in the game starting at 5pmET and you have a game that will be under the lights. Who doesn't like Big Ten football under the lights? O.K., that may be a bit much considering the weather can get dicey at this point in time all over Big Ten country, but still the bus wants what the bus wants and it wants to head to central PA for some tailgating fun and maybe a trip to visit my TDX brothers as well.
